Welcome to Highlands Elementary School, where our journey began in 1996! We are proud to serve our amazing VPK-5th grade students, creating a nurturing and vibrant community where every child can thrive.

At Highlands, we believe in the power of community and are grateful for our highly involved PTA, which supports us in countless ways. Our school is dedicated to teaching leadership principles through "The 7 Habits of Happy Kids" by Stephen Covey and The Leader In Me program. These habits help our students grow into confident, responsible, and happy individuals. We focus on instilling values such as responsibility, teamwork, and proactive thinking, ensuring our students are well-equipped to face challenges and seize opportunities.

We empower our students by giving them leadership roles, encouraging them to take charge of their learning and become the leaders of tomorrow. Whether it's through classroom responsibilities, school-wide initiatives, or community projects, our students learn to lead with integrity and purpose. In 2017, we were honored to receive the prestigious Lighthouse School Award, a testament to our commitment to excellence and the incredible achievements of our students and staff.
