That means everyone has an additional week to qualify for VIP pass to The Mega Blast event, help our school, and win some amazing prizes!
The easiest way to take advantage of the BONUS WEEK is to register online and send emails to your friends and family. If you haven’t already done so, you can register quickly and email friends and family for support.
You can also add yourself to the email list so you can donate online as well. Remember, $50 or more in donations allows your student a VIP invitation for additional time and privileges at The Mega Blast event.

BREAKFAST

CLUBS

Art Club... Wednesday AM
Chorus... Tuesdays & Thursdays AM
Frozen Production... Tuesdays & Thursdays PM
This is a friendly reminder that student drop-off begins at 8:05 AM. For the safety of all students, please do not allow your child to exit the vehicle before 8:05 AM.
The arrival bell rings at 8:05 AM to signal that staff supervision is in place. Prior to that time, there is no supervision available, and safety is our top priority.
Additionally, students should remain inside their vehicles until the bell rings. They should not be outside playing or gathering in the front area before 8:05 AM, as this creates a safety risk.
During dismissal, we would like to remind parents to please have car tags visible at all times while in line, until your student has been picked up. In order to keep our car line as efficeint as possible please stay in your lane that you come through, if you jump between lanes it not only changes the order of students being picked up it, but it typically extents your wait in the car line.
We appreciate your partnership and would like to share a brief reminder about our arrival and dismissal procedures to help keep all students safe. Recently, we have seen students walking through the parking lot during these busy times, which creates unsafe situations. No students should be walking through the parking lot during arrival or dismissal without a parent/guardian.
To support a safe and efficient process, please review the following expectations:
For Car Riders
- If you are driving through our car line, you must be picking up your child through the car line system with you car tag hanging at all times.
For Walkers
- All students designated as walkers must use the east sidewalk that leads toward our crossing guard.
- Students should not walk to vehicles parked in the parking lot or meet families between parked cars.
- All pick-up and drop-off must occur in the designated car rider lanes only and students must be designated as car riders for dismissal.
General Safety Reminders
- Please drive slowly and stay alert at all times.
- Use sidewalks and crosswalks when escorting children.
- Follow all staff directions: they are there to help keep everyone safe.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and organized arrival and dismissal process. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school office.

Elementary School students may not use a cell phone or other wireless communication device (cell phone, tablet, ear buds, smart watch, smart glasses, etc.) at any time during the school day. The school day is defined as the school’s posted student hours.

We have noticed an increase in students who are wearing shorts that are too short, spaghetti strap tank tops, tops that show the midriff and shoes that are not safe for recess and PE. To assist parents and students in making appropriate fashion and grooming decisions for school, the School Board has established the following minimal guidelines for the appearance and dress of ALL students:
• Clothing Coverage: Clothing must fully cover areas from one armpit to the other armpit, down to the thigh. Lower garments must completely cover the buttocks at all times. All tops must have shoulder straps, be long enough to cover the waistline, and must not expose the midriff or undergarments at any time.
• Transparent Clothing: See-through or mesh garments must be worn with clothing over or under it and must meet the standard for clothing coverage.
• Accessories: Clothing, Jewelry, or accessories shall not convey messages that are: crude, vulgar/profane, violent/death-oriented, gang related, sexually suggestive, or promote alcohol, drugs, or tobacco. Jewelry or accessories that pose a safety concern for the students or others are not permitted.
• Footwear: All students shall wear shoes/footwear. Students must wear shoes that are safe and appropriate for the learning environment. Students must wear athletic shoes in all PE classes and/or outdoor activities.

Did you know that children can suffer academically if they miss 10% of the school year? If a student misses 2 days a month, that is equivalent to 20 days a year (30 hours of math a year and 60 hours of reading/writing a year). Those days can add up before you know it. We know there will be days when your child will miss school, especially when they are sick. Let’s work together to make sure that students are at school on time every day!
Parents and families are essential partners in promoting good attendance because they have the bottom-line responsibility for making sure their children get to school every day. Just as parents should focus on how their children are performing academically, they have a responsibility to set expectations for good attendance and to monitor their children’s absences, so that missed days don’t add up to academic trouble.
Remember students may arrive on campus at 8:05 AM for breakfast and the bell rings at 8:35AM.
Attendance Numbers by Month:
August - 287 absences / 187 tardies
September - 523 absences / 312 tardies
October - 638 absences / 526 tardies
November - 466 absences / 214 tardies
December - 445 absences / 348 tardies
January - 636 absences / 428 tardies
February (1-17) 400 absences / 252 tardies
